Hello everyone, I keep forgetting or dont find time to post here…has it been a whole month? my goodness. What a bad blogger I am…lol. Nothing fun for you all to read…ugh! Well, it has been a very busy month and now it is July first already!
Work is going much better now that Erica is gone. Fin, the new guy is doing a pretty good job of getting things organized and back to where it should have been in the first place. I think Jeff just kept her around because she was 21 and hot and would take her shirt off and just wear her tight see thru tshirt with her black bra…disgusting and definitly not the place to be doing so. And the disappointed corporate guys are ridiculous…lol. At any rate, Jonathan or Fin as he goes by is 24 but trained under Clair the owner for the last 5 years, so he knows what he is doing…thank God! It is so much smoother and the housekeepers are doing what they are supposed to be doing again.
Jacob and William are growing like weeds! Jake is as tall as my waist now…at 2 years old! He is going to be a tall one! And William is walking now! And is getting so big…I miss seeing him so much! Stacey sent me some pictures via email tho, so I thought I would post one of each of the boys.
I came across a great site for graphics called Whimsy Dreams, and she was having a contest and the prize was a years membership to her site…and guess what! I won it! I am so excited! I cant wait to see all she has! I need to work this weekend on updating my memberships and getting them all posted on here…such a bad blogger, but I will get it done by this weekend.
Well, you all have a great day! hugs, Grammy Laurie

Wow! Can you believe it is June already! My goodness where is this year going to? It just seems like we were talking about christmas. Well, it sure has been a busy and fast year tho I have to say!
Today is Sunday, and I am just being lazy today. I really don’t have alot to do, so I thought I would take today to update my blog…as you can see I have a new theme from Cindi! She does such a beautiful job on these sets! And she offers some for free! What a sweety! Bless her heart! I am also going to work on updating my webpage and my Tea Thyme Friend page too. Lots to do..this stuff takes so much time! LOL! But I do love it! I appreciate all the lovely, talented ladies out there who take the time to put together sets and offer them as linkware for free. They are just wonderful!
I am off then to get more done, you have a great day! hugs to you!

I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day! The sun is shining and the temps are warm! Such a wonderful day! I have to work this afternoon, but have enjoyed the last 4 days off of work. I have gotten some things done around the house and visited some friends online, and just soaked up the sun! Well, as I have more to get done before work, I will make this short and sweet…have a great day friends!

Good Monday morning everyone! Have you gotten up and had your coffee and started your happy day? LOL. I am just getting going and having my breakfast and coffee and thought I would take a minute and post again. It has been a very long time since I last did…my goodness.
So much has been going on, I havnt had time to write it all down. Well, I wont go into a lot of details, but I will let you know a few things. Amanda has started having jake see some specialists for his speach and language delay. He has an occupational therapist come in every other week, a preschool teacher comes in every week, and a nutrionist comes in every week. All of them working together, we are hoping he progresses to where he should be. He is only saying a handful of words and he should be saying sentences by this age. Well, my phylosophy is that he will speak when he is ready, but Amanda doesnt want him to fall too far behind, and I dont blame her. It is hard enough these days to keep up.
In other news, my mother is having surgery to remove her uterus after it dropped. She was helping my dad lift bags of mulch into the trunk of their car when she felt something pull then later that day she felt a lot of cramping and a big lump in her abdomen. The dr said her uterus must have just given up and dropped…lol. She is almost 71 and thinks she can do everything still…silly girl!
Then, I got a call from my mother in law…my father in law was working on a wood project and cut his 3 middle fingers off of his left hand. They tried to reattatch them but couldnt, there was too much damage. He has his pinkie finger and half a thumb left. Yikes! I feel so bad for him!
Work has been going well lately. No drama…which is unusual…lol. I like going in, doing my job and not have to hear a bunch of junk that doesnt concern me..lol.
The sun is finally shining again after way too much rain and we are supposed to warm into the 80s over the next few days! Yeah. It is nearly june and we havnt had much nice weather yet.
Well, that is about it, really doesnt sound like much when I write it all down in short form, but man has it seemed like I havnt been able to slow much. Well, I will try to keep up more often. You all have a great day! hugs, Grammy Laurie

How is everyone doing today? What a beautiful spring day it is here in Kentucky! We have had rain the last couple days, but today is supposed to be sunny and 71! It is chilly right now…45, so I can’t have my coffee out on the deck..pout. But we are actually having a spring this year which is nice…it usually goes from winter to summer temps pretty quick.
I have been busy doing a bit of spring cleaning and weeding out all the junk that has accumulated around here. It is amazing how much little crap collects in corners and drawers. So I took a medium sized box and dumped the drawers into it and picked up around the house and took out anything that looked important enough for me to look through and I am putting the rest in the box into a closet and if we dont need anything in there after a few months, I am tossing the whole box. Now if I could only do that with purses and shoes…lol.
I have some really cute pictures of the boys I thought I would post.

This is Jacob at 26 months!

This is William at 11 months
I was laying in bed last night trying to fall asleep and a really strange question came to mind…maybe someone knows the answer to it. If cavemen and women were so dumb about things…when it came to childbirth…how did they know to tie off and cut the umbilical cord on a newborn baby? How did Eve know to do it? Let me know!

Ok, so I know how people are about other peoples vacation pictures…ugh…she is actually posting them…well, I am going to be one of those people too….I had fun and took some beautiful pictures of the Smokie Mountains…lol. This first one is Me on our first day in Tennesee…we stopped on the side of road and saw this beautiful view.

And here is Pete and Amanda and Jacob and I:

We had such a good time stopping along the side of the road
and seeing all the beauty of the mountains. We even
got to see a mama bear and her cubs in the wild.
I didnt get a good shot of her, but here is what I did get:

I will also post a few more at the end of this post if you decide you want to take some time and look at them.
We took the kids to the Ripley Aquarium, which was a lot of fun too. We got to visit alot of little shops and and eat a lot of good food, which I have already regretted…lol. Then we came home and dropped Amanda and Jake off and went out to Owensboro to visit with my oldest daughter Stacey and her husband Dennis and my youngest grandson William. We had a very good time there also and I took some good pictures and we did a bit of shopping and ate lunch with Stacey and the William.
So we had a great time as I said, but I am glad to be home in my own bed again…lol.
Well as I have alot of posting to do and pictures to upload, I will get off of here…have a great day! hugs to you, Grammy Laurie

I went to the IRS website and found the page to let you know when you will be recieving your federal tax rebate check. The address is:
http://www.irs.gov/irs/article/0,,id=180250,00.html
I am excited to get it as I know alot of people are. I am already trying to decide what I will spend it on. LOL.
We are expecting lots of rain the next couple of days here in Kentucky. But that is alright, because it is going to help all the trees and flowers open up and bloom. Our dogwoods are already open and look beautiful and the daffodils along the freeways are open and blooming.
Well, I have alot to get done today so I will get off here for now, hope everyone has a great day! hugs, Grammy Laurie

I am so glad it is Friday! I am so looking forward to the weekend. It has been a very busy week at work. The International Truck show is in Louisville, and our hotel has been sold out. That means alot of checkins for me and alot of extra cleaning and running for extra towels and things. I have been so beat by the end of the day. I am glad we arent always like this. LOL.
I am thinking about buying a new laptop and thought I would run a quick survey from everyone to find out what laptop is the best one to buy. Now I am not talking $3,000 bucks good, but a good computer for my graphics stuff and pictures. If you have any ideas, let me know please.
Well, I hope everyone is having a good week and that you have a very excellent weekend! hugs, Grammy Laurie

Good Morning whoever may be out there. It is 11:24 am and I am just starting to get going around here. I slept in until 9:30 this morning…(I got into bed around 1 am) and did some dishes, and got some laundry going and picked up the toys from the front room, got some breakfast and decided to sit down with my coffee and read my emails and write a post and maybe visit some websites.
I got a new recipe in my email this morning that looked delicious, so I thought I would share it with you.
Rosemary Potato Frittata
2 servings
Start to Finish: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 ounces tiny new potatoes, cut into 1/4-inch slices (1 cup)
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion or onion
- 1/4 cup chopped red, green, or yellow sweet pepper
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 cup refrigerated or frozen egg product, thawed or 4 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon snipped fresh rosemary or 1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese (1 ounce)
- Cracked black pepper
Directions
1. In a covered medium nonstick skillet cook potatoes and onion in a small amount of boiling water for 7 minutes. Add sweet pepper. Cook, covered, for 3 to 5 minutes more or until vegetables are tender. Drain vegetables in a colander. Cool and dry the skillet. Lightly coat the skillet with cooking spray. Return vegetables to the skillet.
2. In a small bowl combine egg product or eggs, rosemary, and salt. Pour over vegetables in the skillet; do not stir. Cook over medium heat. As mixture sets, run a spatula around the edge of the skillet, lifting egg mixture so uncooked portion flows underneath. Continue cooking and lifting egg mixture until it is nearly set (top will be moist).
3. Remove skillet from heat. Sprinkle with cheese. Let stand, covered, for 3 to 4 minutes or until top is set and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with cracked black pepper to serve. Makes 2 servings.
So there ya go, if you try it and love it, let me know. I am going to try it tomorrow morning and I will let you know how it turned out.
I am excited, our temps for the next week are in the 60’s and low 70’s!! yeah!! finally!! There is rain in the forcast, but at least it wont be cold! It is sunny this morning and cold tho, just 39 degrees. But it is supposed to be 64 today for a high.
Matthew my oldest son is moving into a new apt this week with his brother Andrew. They are both glad for the change of apts and that the freeloaders who were living with Andrew will be gone. Its a very long story that I wont go into now, but needless to say, it is a good thing that they are gone. The boys will have an upstairs apt with vaulted ceilings and they each have their own bedroom and separte bathrooms.
Well, I need to get some more done around the house before I go off to work today, so you all have a wonderful day!
hugs to you, Grammy Laurie

Well, here we are again. We got through another holiday. I love Easter, it is the first sign that spring is around the corner. I love the colors and the food. I also love to see people getting together to celebrate the meaning of Easter. He arose! I am so thankful that He did that for you and me. Where would I be if He hadnt.
It is Monday, and another work week begins. I like my job, but I would love to go back to being a stay at home grammy. One day maybe, but we have a big mortgage, and with todays economy, it is nearly impossible for any family to survive on one persons income.
I will be working on my pages in the coming days, as you can see I started with my blog first. I love this new set. I think I will be happy with it for quite a while. Well, until I find one I like even better…hmm..that will be tough! I am going to spring up the pages and make them full of color and fun things to see and do.
Well, I am off to work, have a wonderful day everyone!
hugs to you, Grammy Laurie
